WWE’s CEO has to be on his best behavior under the new management of Endeavor.
Vince McMahon’s new employment contract binds him to “code of conduct” and “non-harassment policy”, according to a new report from The Hollywood Reporter.
The 77-year-old booker and wrestling promoter strategically maneuvered himself back to the top of WWE earlier this year. McMahon reinstated himself to WWE’s Board of Directors in a move that was widely panned by fans and peers alike. His shocking return led to the departure of several key executives, including his own daughter Stephanie McMahon.
McMahon oversaw WWE’s negotiation with UFC’s parent company, Endeavor, that culminated in the multi-billion dollar acquisition of the sports and entertainment juggernaut. The merger between WWE and UFC is expected to close later this year with a combined valuation of $21.4 billion, making the new entity one of the biggest players in the world of sports and entertainment.
Per the documents viewed by the mainstream media outlet, McMahon’s new employment contract is bound by the new company’s “Conflict of Interest and Code of Conduct,” and WWE’s “Equal Opportunity and Non-Harassment Policy.” The report, however, does not state the punishment for the billionaire in case of violation.
