Santino Marella is officially in the Impact zone.
Marella made his surprise return to Impact Wrestling at the promotion’s Hard to Kill pay-per-view event this past Friday. The former WWE star showed up to confront Moose after he sneaked up a win over Impact Digital Media Champion Joe Hendry.
Santino Marella revealed himself as the new Director of Authority, replacing Scott D’Amore who was attacked by Bully Ray in storyline, and ordered the referee to restart the match. Hendry retained his title after he hit Moose with a Standing Ovation.
Impact Wrestling made the signing official on Sunday. The promotion has previously filed to trademark the name “Santino Marella.”
Marella made his Impact Wrestling debut as a member of the crowd at the Bound for Glory PPV event on November 5, 2017. He co-hosted the program “Behind the Lights” on Twitch. Moreover, he appeared in the corner of his BattleArts Academy student Dustin Quicksilver against Austin Aries on the July 23, 2018, episode of Impact.
