With the WWE Draft beginning this Friday, attention is now turning to which superstars will be eligible to be drafted to either Raw or SmackDown. Usually this process is not something WWE makes public, and the whole draft process is somewhat of a mystery in terms of how it actually works.
This year however, things appear to be a little different, with WWE featuring a graphic during the April 21 edition of SmackDown confirming 96 superstars that will be eligible for the draft.
While the graphic is the closest we’re going to get to any kind of official word on legibility, it’s far from a comprehensive list of superstars.
For example, several injured superstars such as AJ Styles and Kofi Kingston are included on the graphic, but there are also other confirmed injured superstars such as Alexa Bliss, Carmella, Dabba-Kato, R-Truth, Randy Orton, Robert Roode, Tommaso Ciampa, Aliyah, Big E, Bray Wyatt, Drew Gulak, Jinder Mahal, Naomi, and Shanky are all not featured.
Gable Steveson, John Cena, Logan Paul, and Shane McMahon are listed on the official WWE roster but are again missing from the graphic.
It’s also worth noting that the graphic only features current superstars from Raw and SmackDown. While WWE hasn’t confirmed there will be NXT superstars eligible for the draft, it has been alluded as recently as this past week’s NXT broadcast and it the possibility of NXT superstars being drafted was mentioned by Michael Cole during this weeks SmackDown broadcast.
There is also no listing of any announcers from either show, indicating they are not set to be part of the draft, although previous drafts have featured announcer moves, notably Jim Ross and Michael Cole being drafted to SmackDown and Raw respectively in 2008.
The following is a full list of all superstars featured in the graphic that aired on SmackDown as well as being shared on the @WWEonFox Twitter account.
